Whats the difference between update_after_phpbb and update_before_phpbb

You should do the before, before updating your phpbb to 3.0.6 and the other one after you updated phpbb to avoid a lot of conflicts, see: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... #p10719365

And how should I proceed when I got 1.0.2 installed in 3.0.7-PL1 and want to update to 1.0.4?

I think I will manage the 1.0.3 -> 1.0.4 update, but 1.0.2 -> 1.0.3 looks like it should be easier to update than uninstalling parts of it and reinstalling them as I believe you do in the before and after update instructions. As I will not be updating to 3.0.6 since I already run a newer version I think it should be OK for me to just do the actual changes without workaround.

So how do I go about this?
