[Solved] Pictures not displaying? Text links only.

Right, I finally have it working! Woohoo! You'll never guess what the problem was.. Something so simple (It always is) I had "Hotlink Prevention" on. I don't know why but I just had a thought in my head this morning before work to turn it off. So I tried it and viola! I can see images again. Thank you everyone for the replies.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not with it not displaying any images with it on?

On top of that, I seem to have a slight problem with the thumbnails, I know I can edit the size of them in the control panel but there is always a space around them, (a border) I want to remove this so the images fit snug and do not have a background. Here's what I mean:


I realize I can change the lighter blue to be the same colour as the darker blue, but all that space is being wasted (the red part)

That is not wasted space, but is a means to allow people to post portrait-oriented images; these would have the "wasted space" on their sides.

Thank you very much for the reply. It seems you are right, but I have found a way to remove it. I go into the thumbnail settings (pixel size) and set it to 200, then save and refresh the thumbnail cache. Now I go back and change the thumbnail size to 135, and save without refreshing the cache, and it removes the border. I did this going by an image the maximum height that I allow to upload so nothing should be higher than it.

Just one more question before I am finished if you would kindly answer. When looking at the Gallery index, the albums I have created show "Moderators: Global moderators, Administrators" The rest of my forum does not have this and I was wondering if it was possible to get it removed? I did some digging into the index.php which I presumed it would be part of, but after removing the only two instances with anything to do with moderators from the file, it didn't seem to make a difference after refreshing the cache.

Just out of interest Nick, are you using a different version of Highslide (Not sure if that's the name) for your forum? When looking through your images, your lytebox has buttons to scroll through images and move the image around.

Ah I thought that might be the case.

I seem to have a problem with permissions after re-importing my images. Administrators and Moderators can not edit/delete/moderate/move any images at all. I have removed all the permissions and re-added them to make sure, but it's still the same. I can only report images as an admin. Is there anything you can suggest?
