Hi,
I just wonder if thier is any progress with future releases.
Especially I´m wondering the update on comments when converting from Smartor (old comments not converted)?

Have a great day!

On writing the converter i recognized, that the pic_physical_filename always (mostly) ends with .png
Are the images themselves stored as png on the server?

The comment bug also behaves the same with the FAP album after converting to your gallery MOD. Good to see that the next version will fix this. :)

As it is the same script, it has to happen to both versions ;)

In my opinion the most important future on the next version(s) is a midsize-picture function.
It's really missing, because you have to limit the filesize uploaded and MOST Users cant' resize them on their own.
And if you are allowing them to upload e.g. 10MB pictures, the server would break down.
A midsize function would bring the effect that the high-quality pictures are only viewed by the users who really want them!!!

Please make a feature like that. I already transfer a little money through paypal, although this should not be a corruption ;)

I agree with GENcarter but I also think it's important with each version to improve on the key factor that underpins the entire project and that is usability.

So my feedback is as follows: The gallery in the UCP is a bit confusing. You first set up the gallery (why this can't be automatic i don't know) and then you have four options [Edit | Delete | Go To] and Create Subalbums, none of which allow you to upload any pics. It seems unnecessary to have an Edit and Delete option in a gallery I've only just created, yet there is no direct upload option. I feel a great disconnect between creating the gallery and my ability to add content to what i just created.

I think members really need to be able to upload images within their UCP and then to have the option of editing what they've uploaded/created. The horse before the cart scenario ;)

That said, this is still the best gallery known to phpbb3 :)

The UCP is to manage the albums, not the content. the edit and delete functions are for the albums not the images.
I'm not sure whether i add an upload button into the ucp.

The personal albums aren't automatically created, because some users might not have permissions to add them, and some more users may even dont want to use the gallery, so you have lots of empty albums that's why this will not be changed

Well on the issue of usability that is all I find to be confusing - otherwise it's a pretty awesome piece of machinery :D .

How about adding a link in the UCP to the upload page as one of the options, e.g.

[Upload | Edit | Delete | Go To]

My other suggestion is to integrate the gallery with the profile page more for those who want to display more photos on their profiles, like we can do with Smartor's gallery (after installing the Service Pack, i think it's called). Of course, as not everyone will want this, it's probably better to develop this sort of thing as an Add-on for those who want it (as it was with Smartor's gallery). The reason I think it's important to have it as an option at least is that being able to display pictures on your profile makes the gallery more personal and relevant to many kinds of members - so they use it and our websites more, i believe... :D
