global announcements aren't displayed yet?

I don't think so.
I was simulating the sql code from the recent_topics.php and I think they don't show because of the particularity "forum_id = 0". The "left join" don't connects the global announcements records. But, it's just a guess.

I'll wait your comments.

they get displayed on my testboard.

But as you may see, the part with the forum the topic is in is missing (because global announcements don't have a forum)

In fact, they was really not showing on my board, but I've figure out that I had an old version of your MOD.
I've removed the old one and installed the final release. Now everything is fine with the global announcements in the recent topics list.
