News on the front page

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible for the news section to appear on the front page above the rest of the Forum?

I've edited the index_body.html to include the file, but it constantly says that there is no news, but if i click on the 'News' link I get taken to the newspage and everything appears correctly

if you want the newspage on the index.php you have to edit the index_body.html as well as the index.php in your board-root-folder ... if you don't do this

will be false and the following code is executed

and you will always recieve the "No News"

Can you give me a hint on what I need to put in the index.php ?

im new to coding php and im not sure what I need to call

To be honest I'm unsure if it makes sense ... you would have to copy nearly the whole newspage.php into the index.php to get the full functionality. Depending on what you want to achieve you may want to look at viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35 or http://blog.phpbb.com/2009/11/09/how-to ... nal-pages/ for smaller code & a lil' less functionality, but I guess that this sources might help you more.
