Why "Recent Topics" mod doesn't show new topics??!

I will highly appreciate if you could help me with this:
I have just installed the "Recent topics v1.05" mod
Installation went just fine, after the instalation i got a new tap in my ACP: .MODS
I enabled the mode (from within the ACP) and everything seems to be just fine.
The problem is that I simply can not see the recent X topics on the boards home page as expected.
Did I miss something?
Should I refresh something?

Ok, so now I am posting my question again, ONLY HERE (not in phpbb.com) and NOT TO YOUR PRIVATE EMAIL
Kindly try to help me cos i really like this mod

I installed the mod successfully, set the amount of "recent topics" to 8 and enabled the mod from within my ACP
This time i also remembered to edit the styles/prosilver/template/index_body.html as well as all other places you mentioned in the installation guide
however, i still can not see the recent topics on the index.php page of my forum

what else should i do in order to let this thing work??

ok, i re installed everything and now its working great!
thanks for the help

one more question: is it possible to use the RT with some kind of a skin?
I prefer that it will not look so similar to the forums list
