gallery/mcp.php not recognising mod/admin permissions

Postby mazeteam » Wed Aug 25, 2010 4:37 am

Gallery Version: 1.0.5
phpBB Version: 3.0.7
Gallery-Link: http://www.ukastle.co.uk/discussion/gallery

PHP Version: 5.2.6
Database Version: MySQL 5.0.77

Error description and message
Hi all,
Most gallery features on the board linked to work fine. However, there are no links to the moderator control panel showing on the pages*. When I try to navigate to gallery/mcp.php?mode=album&album_id=1 (for example) I get the error message "you do not have permission to access this page"*

* - this is the original problem. I have temporarily overwritten this by modifying the php code within the control files album.php mcp.php etc. album.php has been modified temporarily to include "if ($this->_rootref['U_ACP']) {" before the mcp link. mcp.php has been edited so the "if ($access_denied" output has been disabled and a page is forced to be displayed instead of an error.

After forcing the invisible bits to be shown, this has created new problems - namely the following:
in album.php, the links for moderator control panel, create album, edit subalbum (create album link not visible) are not correct: instead of going to the proper page they are just pointing to the present page, as if a 'php self' echo statement is being executed (example: if the page is album.php?album_id=1, the link for the mcp will be album.php?album_id=1). The only reason I can see the mcp page is because I have again rewritten the php to force a link to the mcp

In the mcp, using mcp.php?mode=album&album_id=1 as an example, the images of the album are shown, but there are no actions available for the images

My thought is that something is missing that should be transferring permissions across. In the ACP I have the .MODS tab with "
* phpBB Gallery
* Overview
* Configure gallery
* Manage albums
* Permissions
* Copy permissions
* Import Images
* Cleanup gallery"
available as links to further options. However on ACP->SYSTEM I only have links for the modules "
* Automation
* General tasks
* Module management"
- is there supposed to be a phpbb gallery module in there too? and if so how can it be fixed?

I need to be able to fix this quickly, because otherwise it is only me that can do work on the gallery, and the global moderators and other admins cannot access the pages to add/edit galleries etc.
