After forum and Gallery restore, missing images

Well I got all the image files to upload into the Gallery folders but the same images do not display.

What am I doing wrong??

I think I found maybe part of the problem after looking for one of the missing images, I can't find it in my backups of Gallery!

In the Upload folder ftp file count says there are 1998 files, the live forum gallery statistics say there are 3661 total images.
I have the same 1998 files in my backups. What's going on here?
It would seem that there are Gallery files stored somewhere besides the Gallery directories.

You can try going into the ACP there's a clean up module.

Sheesh, why didn't I think of that

I uploaded a screenshot of the cleanup module, it needs to be approved.

The upper window block of files are the files I'm missing, not sure what I'm looking at there in the lower block of files.

Can you explain what this all means please. Thanks

The first one are images like the ones you have a problem with: the source-file is missing.
in the other box you see source files, which are not linked to a entry in the database.

I think I got this figured out.

It looks like for some unknown reason (yet) my downloads were incomplete, which meant the uploads were incomplete.

I'll update when I figure out why this was happening.

This might happen with some ftp-programms, when the file list is too long, what can happen with >2000 files.
