John,

There is no reference to a version number in the ACP (Beheerderspaneel)? You should also be able to look the version up in the database - look at album_version in table phpbb_album_config.

Groeten!

Wow, that is definitely "ouwe troep" :lol:
Now you need to get this updated in steps:

Download 0.4.1, with:
0.3.1 -> 0.4.0-RC1
0.4.0-RC1 -> 0.4.0-RC2
0.4.0-RC2 -> 0.4.0-RC3
0.4.0-RC3 -> 0.4.0
0.4.0 -> 0.4.1
Download 1.0.0, with:
0.4.1 -> 1.0.0
Download 1.0.5, with:
1.0.0 -> 1.0.1
1.0.1 -> 1.0.2
1.0.2 -> 1.0.3
1.0.3 -> 1.0.4
1.0.4 -> 1.0.5

And then you're "helemaal bij".

Maybe Nick has a shortcut for you with dumping and restoring the database, but the setup changed several times during the versions ... Otherwise it will take some time.

And the final step: add Dutch language pack ... !?!?

Veel succes,
Marc :geek:

And thats what i need ;)
I hoped for an easy solution, I'm not that skilled in phpBB.

But, if I'm correct:
With download 0.4.1 I'm updating in one step from 0.3.1 to 0.4.1
With download 1.0.0 I'm updating in one step from 0.4.1 to 1.0.0
And finaly, with the download off 1.0.5 I''m updating to the newest version?

Or are all the separate steps (as discribed) necessary?

And I am also hoping that Mr. Nick has a more simpel method to update the old gallery.

To be sure doing what needs to be done.
The first opdate

0.4.0-RC2 -> 0.4.0-RC3
0.4.0-RC3 -> 0.4.0
0.4.0 -> 0.4.1

updates the version in one step from 0.3.1 to 0.4.1?
grotevoet wrote:Download 1.0.0, with:

Seems logical, in one step from 0.4.1 -> 1.0.0
grotevoet wrote:Download 1.0.5, with:
1.0.0 -> 1.0.1
1.0.1 -> 1.0.2
1.0.2 -> 1.0.3
1.0.3 -> 1.0.4
1.0.4 -> 1.0.5

And the last big-one takes me with one update from 1.0.0 to 1.0.5.

So, three major updates instead of eleven small ones.
Correct?

Sorry, but sometimes I snap it not completely :cry:

John, helaas ... 8-)

You need to see each line as one step. So you have to do 11 individual updates to become current.

When you extract the downloads you will find a CONTRIB folder which has the instructions for each update in a separate subfolder. The first one will be called update_0_3_1_to_0_4_0-RC1. Open the UPDATE.XML you find there and simply follow the steps.

Some of the updates require several files to be edited, some only one or two, but the instructions should be clear.
Make sure you have a good backup just in case you make a mistake.

Personally I would do only 1 or 2 updates at a time, and then first let the gallery run for one or two days, then do the next. This both to not get too frustrated with the work, and to make sure you don't introduce errors along the way that you only find after you have done multiple updates.

Veel plezier,
Marc
