did you run the install_gallery/install.php as a update?
if you did and it is still missing, just add the module in the acp > system > user control panel

But I´m a nitwit about this forum, I have just installed it and I´m not familiar yet.
Can you explain what to do?
Do I still need to put some files on the server?
And how can I find the module and which module?

Or can I just copy the install_gallery again to the server and run the install.php again?

I have this exact same problem. Carried out an upgrade from Smartor and everything is running smoothly except personal galleries are causing a few issues.

I have the same problem that the module isn't showing up in the User CP, have you found a solution?

I completed (checked, and rechecked!) all installation steps! Is this step missed in the upgrade from Smartor and only included in the standard base install?

FOUND IT!

It is missing from the install.xml file.. so should this be flagged as a bug?
# root/includes/ucp/ucp_gallery.php,
# root/includes/ucp/info/ucp_gallery.php,

Need to be copied over (install.xml only covers ACP, not UCP).

From there you can add the module using -Aministration Control Panel -> System -> User Control Panel -> select 'Manage Personal Albums' -> Add Module
