RT too wide. How to make the columns thinner?

Hi,

First of all; Thanks for some really superb mods! Been a "customer" for years

But then to my problem;

I'm setting up some new forums: http://swtor.exalted-gaming.com/forums
where I am using your recent topics mod. The problem is that I'm using it on a style which makes the first column too wide, so that it get skewed up! Have a looksee and you'll see what I mean.

I've previously used it on another forum (http://www.exalted-aoc.com/forums) where the table is even smaller, but I didn't get these problems there, so now I am a bit stuck.

Can you please guide me in the right direction as to where I can make Recent topics show proper on my new forum?

Well the main difference is your new page is using prosilver and therefor has fixed column width for the last post, which is just too long in this case and breaks into a new line.

The old one was based on subsilver2 and uses a table.

Pointing into a good direction, hmm depending on the portal you use, there should be a latest posts/topics also included.

I am using bbdkp's portal and unfortunately there is no such thing as a latest posts feature there.

Hmm.. if I might be so bold.. But prosilver, looking at my index there is also a huge space to the right in the forum list, which to me sounds like the content is not set to 100% somehow. Also on the recent topics mod on my portal there "should" be enough space to fit the "Last post" info.
So, can it be a css setting somehow, somewhere which has it's margin set too high? Or are you saying this just can't be done?

Or am I faaaar off now? ^^

Well you can work around it as changing the css directly is not a good idea.

so open the file for the recent topics in the portal.
find twice:

Code: Select all

<dd class="lastpost">

and replace with:

Code: Select all

<dd class="lastpost" style="width: 100px;">

Worked like a charm! Well, almost anyhows, there's still some spare space to the right, but 100 times better as all now is on the same line
