Hi

Is it possible to have a 'Featured Image' or 'Image of the Week'. What I want to do is select an image out of the users' galleries and feature it on the front page of the gallery. This could be set for a time period or just administrated by me as and when I want to change it.

Can you please give me instruction on how to do this?

Ok. Can you tell me how I can do it manually? i.e how to I make a box titled 'Featured Image' and manually enter it into index_body.html? Like this. I can then manually edit the file whenever I want to change it.

I would really like to use this MOD but I'm not getting any support. Surely what I'm asking is not so unusual? Is it?

I have gone abit furtherwith this and it now kinda looks the way I wanted. But I would have preffered this to be a bit more 'integrated' with the mod. As it stands I've had to build the whole thing out of HTML, which is no cool really.

I would like the poster's name under the image and for it to be a bit smaller. Somewhere between thumbnail and preview.

I'd be very grateful if someone could help me here.

Sorry, but you are the first person who asks for it and as I mentioned, I'm not having much time for such things. I'm a student, going to write 3 pretty important tests until mid august, I'm single developer-supporter for nearly all of my MODs and I'm doing all this for free beside of my real-life, so be a bit patient please, thank you. There's not much I can do about this at the moment. It hopefully gets better in the future.

You might post your Request in the feature-tracker. Maybe I can implement it when I have some free time to work on the next gallery version.

I understand that and I accept that it's not a current feature. That's not what I'm asking for. I thought I could pull just the information out of the MOD and edit it manually. If it has to be a full feature, rather than just a piece of HTML I can manually update, then I will just do the whole thing in HTML. It just seemed like an easy thing to implement to me.

I would suggest that you answer threads on your forum. It looks bad on your MOD if people can't get help from you. Even if you just say "Sorry, I can't help with that, it's not supported". Forums with lots of 0 replies always gives me a bad feeling about a mod or piece of software. The main phpBB community is very good at helping their users.

I do think this would be a good feature for the next version of the gallery. It must be something that photography sites would find useful? If you have a look at how Ning does it here. The owner of that site selects images they like and it outputs them in a separate result 'Featured Images'.
