I need help

Error description and message
I downloaded the latest version of phpBB Gallery, but am only running phpBB 3.0.8 (and do not want to switch). It will not let me install. Is there anything I can do? What version should I have used? I already did all of the file edits before I discovered this issue. It took me over 2 hours and I am hoping to not have to do it again.

Why would you not want to do the update?

You can not use the Gallery 1.1.x with 3.0.8 or lower, as I use some functions, that were added in 3.0.9

I don't want to update because I have other changes I have made and I don't want to have to re-do everything. This is not a personal website, it is for our Cub Scout Pack, so I don't actually own it and I am not the one to originally instal phpBB. I am without access to C-Panel, which is how I am used to making file edits, so it is harder for me (I am no programmer). For example, the file edits I did for the photo gallery took me over 2 hours to do.

Is there an earlier version of the photo gallery that will work for me? If not, I will have to check to see if it is OK for me to upgrade phpBB (it is not up to me) and then I am wondering how that will affect other changes I have made. I don't have a large amount of mods, there are a few.

Well, the automatic update system of phpbb normally keeps your changes. You can see my forum, I use the update since 3.0.0 and have a lot of MODs installed all the time.

As for the working version for 3.0.8, 1.0.6 should work but I'm not quite sure.

I am more accustomed to vBulletin and I know there are more headaches when your site is modified, so that's what I was basing it off off. One of the mods we are using for the phpBB site is easyportal and that is listed as working with 3.0.8. Not sure if I can try it with 3.0.9 or not. Maybe I will try to find out and if it does, update. If not, I will try 1.0.6 for the photo gallery and hope that will work. Thanks for your help!
