Backup of Gallerie

Hello,
I have tried to make an Update to my board3Portal from Version 1.0.6 to 2.0.0. This resolved in an error. Now I try to reinstall the board3 Portal. For that, I have to deinstall all other Mods (like my installed Galerie (Version 1.1.4)). We have a lot of content in the Galerie so I don’t won’t lose all pictures.
So my question is, is there a document / a How-to how I can Back up my Galerie and after the Upgrade reinstall of the Portal install the Galerie with all content?

if you dont remove the gallery from the database and keep the gallery/ folder your images should be still there after the procedure.

Thanks for your answer. I am still not happy to deinstall the gallery. So I will test if the installation will complete if I "deactivate" the gallery. For that, I want to remove the Gallery from the MODs Tab in the admin portal. Is that possible? When yes, how?
