How best to use other styles?

Error description and message
How do you recommend that we migrate the gallery to other styles based on prosilver inheritance. Is there an automated method or should we just make all the appropriate edits to files that have been copied over to the child style.

In my case I can't seem to get the SE Pro style to inherit the gallery edits from prosilver.

I've copied the gallery folder in templates over but that wasn't enough. Oh...I've also refreshed all appropriate folder including the "purge cache".

Please disregard this post. I've figured it out. I edited the overallheader file and that seemed to do it.
