Better File Management (new)

Create Folders/Sub Folders/Sub Sub Folders/Etc for file placement in galleries.

This would allow a user to migrate to a different system if needed, as all of the files in an album would be in a proper folder. If a board had several thousand pictures, it could take days of clicking through each image, saving the high resolution copy to a folder on the local machine. If this was already set up, an admin could simply download the high-resolution pictures via FTP and have a complete set ready to be uploaded elsewhere, saving days of work.

Either the above, or an "Export" feature that will somehow dump all of the photos named whatever they are named in the system into a proper folder structure into a TAR file or something...

I have had so many problems with galleries lately that this is a required feature for me to use any gallery. :(

I agree with this (export would be perfect).

I understand the reasoning of the file naming, but coming from a gallery that also used directories to store individual albums, if this one fails for any reason all the organization will be lost. We host just under 40,000 photos - I can only imagine the work involved to rename/recategorize them all!
